Rootwood Cider Co. Lot 17

by | Mar 2, 2016

Hailing from the small town of Manson, Washington along Lake Chelan’s north shore, Rootwood Cider Co. is an up-and-coming cidery drawing off of an advantageous Pacific Northwest locale. Rootwood currently offers two bottled ciders from their downtown taproom and is also working on locking down small-scale distribution. In-house growler fills, tastings and a variety of bites via nearby Cle Elum’s Glondo’s Sausage Company can also be enjoyed from the lakeside hangout.

Rootwood’s Lot 17 is one cider that can be purchased by the bottle at 7.5 percent ABV. Crafted from apples grown in the Koenig family orchards in the glacier-formed Chelan valley – where warm summer days and cool nights are the norm – this sipper is fruit-forward with a crisp, dry mouthfeel. Whether paired with cheeses and cured meats in Rootwood’s tasting room or enjoyed solo, this sessionable pour is one to keep on hand.
