Apple Pie-Secco & Pumpkin Ciders and Fall Events Showcase the Craftsmanship Behind New York’s Apple Harvest
(Albany, N.Y.) — As orchards across New York begin another apple harvest, Nine Pin Ciderworks is celebrating the season with the return of two fall ciders and a lineup of experiences designed to connect people with the farms, landscapes and traditions behind every pour.
Returning this fall are Apple Pie-Secco, a crisp cider infused with cinnamon and vanilla, and Pumpkin, Nine Pin’s small-batch seasonal crafted with locally grown pumpkins and apples. Both ciders highlight the local ingredients and thoughtful production methods that have defined Nine Pin since becoming New York’s First Farm Cidery.
Harvest season represents the culmination of months of work by orchardists and cidermakers alike. That philosophy carries through every step of Nine Pin’s production process. The cidery sources 100% New York apples, works directly with orchard partners across the state, fresh-presses whole fruit, and produces cider in small batches that are blended to develop greater depth and complexity. Yeast selection and fermentation schedules are driven by taste rather than speed, allowing their ciders to reflect the character of each season’s harvest.
“Harvest is the culmination of the year’s hard work,” said Alejandro del Peral, Co-founder and Head Cidermaker at Nine Pin Ciderworks. “Every apple tells the story of the growing season, and our job is to preserve that character in the cider. We work closely with our orchard partners and take the time to make each batch the right way because we want every pour to reflect the quality of New York fruit and the people who grow it.”
Apple Pie-Secco (6.5% ABV) returns as Nine Pin’s signature fall seasonal. Crafted with apples from Samascott Orchards in Kinderhook and infused with cinnamon and vanilla, the cider delivers familiar fall flavors while maintaining the bright, crisp profile of fresh-pressed New York apples. It will be available in four-packs and on draft, through ninepincider.com, and at retailers.
Also returning is Pumpkin (6.7% ABV), which debuted last fall and quickly became one of Nine Pin’s most popular small batch releases. Made with apples and pumpkins from Samascott Orchards and infused with pumpkin spice, vanilla, and brown sugar, the limited-production cider will be available in four-packs,on draft, and online; use Nine Pin’s Cider Finder to find the nearest retail location.
