This family-owned and -operated micro cidery in McMinnville, Oregon, currently has six ciders on the market and was the first to do so in its area of Oregon Wine Country. Hyper-local with its orchard in nearby Carlton, Carlton Cyderworks swings with the seasons and releases small batch limited release ciders to its traditional collection of English-inspire sippers.
An ode to everything nice, the Sugar and Spice is “apple cider with a secret blend of spices.” Once sipped, the beverage tingles on the tongue with a bright and sparkly flavor. The spicy infusion is a mild hint at potpourri spices, which creates an incredibly smooth drink that is not overly sweet but truly Christmas apple. The finish is delicate with a crisp tartness like it was just plucked from the tree.
