5 Vibrant Ciders that Celebrate Pride Month

In the era of COVID-19 and social distancing, craft cider companies, along with the rest of the food and beverage industry, have been forced to adapt to new health and safety standards. Although LGBTQ+ Pride events around the world have been canceled or postponed, the spirit of pride certainly doesn’t have to be. Here are five ciders you can sip on in support of the LGBTQ+ community while celebrating Pride Month at home. Be sure to check each company’s website for details on how they’re following public health recommendations and distributing their product to customers.

District Pride Rosé by Lake City Cider

Canned in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, the District Pride Rosé from Lake City Cider is the official cider of the Halifax Pride Festival – the largest annual pride celebration in Canada. This semi-sweet cider may come off a little sweeter, knowing that it supports a great cause. District Pride Rosé marries the complementary flavors of the region crisp apples from Nova Scotia and tart berries from Oxford into one delicious cider. 

Unicorn Fuel by Bryant’s Cider

Quench your thirst all while supporting a great cause. With the purchase of Unicorn Fuel from Virginia-based Bryant’s Cider, customers can add a donation – as well as buy pride-themed stickers – to support Side by Side, an LGBTQ nonprofit. This smooth-tasting brut cider will leave a refreshing taste and aromas of rose hips and hibiscus on your palate.

Pride Pack by Ernest Cider Co.

For the third year in a row, Canada’s first cidery to be B-Corp Certified and Bullfrog Powered, Ernest Cider Co., is celebrating Pride with a 24-pack featuring five different ciders. The flavors included in the Ontario-based cidery’s Pride Pack are the Dry, Bumbleberry, Blueberry, Impeachmint and Small Batch Relic. With each purchase of the Pride Pack, Ernest Cider has pledged to donate $4 to the Canadian charity, Rainbow Railroad.

Cidre Blanc Pride by ANXO 

After a successful celebration of Pride with DC-based LBGTQ+ nonprofit Casa Ruby in 2019, ANXO Cider is releasing a special edition of its flagship cider Cidre Blanc with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Casa Ruby.
