Woodchuck Hard Cider Day Chaser

by | Feb 24, 2016

The history of Woodchuck Hard Cider Co. befits that of its equally-rich-in-history New England origins, with the cidery’s early beginnings involving a two-car garage and a 1940s soda filler. Founder Greg Failing was nothing but determined to create a solid batch of cider, and he went on to do so, growing the company one bottle at a time until modern Vermont became a part of the “cider boom.” Today, the state is synonymous with apple country, while the cidery has transitioned from producing a few bottles at a time to filling 600 bottles in one minute – each one carefully crafted with common eating apples such as McIntosh and Cortland.

Among an array of lively flavors including Smoked Apple, Campfire Pancakes and Pink – a breast cancer survivor and support reserve – Woodchuck recently debuted the Day Chaser, a part of the cidery’s Core Ciders line. Bright and fruit-forward, this sessionable and oh-so-summery blend of bitter and sweet apples is available year round as a salute to the state’s adventurers, but pop the top on this semi-dry sipper and we won’t blame you if you just want to kick back with your feet up, cider style.
