Crispin Cider based out of Colfax, California ferments their products with white wine and champagne yeast, creating clean, light ciders that aren’t too sweet. The masterminds behind the cidery experiment with creating unique cider blends, using ingredients like organic maple syrup.
Crispin Steel Town is bourbon-boasting cider, no doubt about it. The thick, lightly-carbonated golden cider has a sweet scent of scrumptious apple wrapped up in warm vanilla. The limited edition cider created in part of their barrel-aged program was created by aging apple wine in five different barrels, and then blended together and bottled. The clean and spicy kick of bourbon is felt in the finish of the cider, riding out the taste of honey. Crispin Steel Town is a wonderfully balanced sipper worthy of their five-year anniversary celebration and label.
