Chicago Cider Week || Feb. 3-11 || Chicago
Although little is out yet about this nine-day fest, endlessly flowing cider will be an obvious guarantee. Participating bars around town — from cider favorites like The Northman and The Globe to more beer-savvy pubs opening doors — will feature cider from around the planet and for all Chicagoans (and more) to toast with. Prices vary by event.
CiderCon 2017 || Feb. 7-10 || Chicago
Created to affect positive changes in cidermaking, cider fruit production and the cider market, CiderCon is an opportunity for the cider community to come together, share ideas and clink glasses. The workshops and discussions that take place at the Hilton for the country’s grandest cider convention provide insight into the industry, allowing cider veterans to share their knowledge and newcomers to learn from the best. This is a member-only event and prices vary upon participation.
Cider Summit Chicago || Feb. 11 || Chicago
Featuring over 140 ciders from around the world, Cider Summit Chicago is the largest cider-tasting event in the region. Owners and cidermakers will be onsite to guide guests through each tasting experience. The gathering will also feature specially selected food pairings to go with the ciders of your pleasure. Tickets start at $30.
Gathering of the Farm Cideries || Feg. 18 || Albany, NY
Nine Pin Ciderworks hosts the third annual Gathering of the New York Farm Cideries in Albany’s Warehouse District. Over a dozen of the state’s cideries will gather together to share tastings, new releases and products for sale by the glass, growler and bottle. Two sessions are hosted in the afternoon and evening to exhibit New York’s finest ciders. Tickets start at $10.
