Coast to Coast Cider Events for You

by | Oct 22, 2019

If you’re an avid cider drinker, a professional or home cidermaker, or maybe just the occasional fan of the drink, a cider event should definitely be in the cards for you this fall. Then again, these events are great for everyone, whether you drink cider or not: there’s live music at the Hard Core Cider Tour in San Louis Obispo and a pop-up farmers market at the Cider and Cheese Festival in New Hampshire. If you love great food, community, and of course, the country’s best ciders, consider checking out one of these lively events this season.

2019 Cider and Cheese Festival

Enfield, NH | Oct. 13 | 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

Apples were one of the very first crops the English settlers were able to establish in the New World. New England is home to some of the oldest apple orchards in this country, which makes New England cider some of the most historic, tried and true cider available to us today. If you’re in New Hampshire or the surrounding area consider attending the Cider and Cheese Festival at Enfield Shaker Museum, a beautiful venue on the edge of Mascoma Lake. The event is all ages and tickets range from $5-25 – some fun activities include live cider pressing, museum tours, a farmer’s market and live music to tie it all together.

Hard Core Cider Tour 2019

San Luis Obispo, CA | Oct. 26 | 1-4 p.m.

This yearly festival puts on three different events around California by the same name throughout the autumn. The San Luis Obispo location is the final one of the year, so don’t let yourself miss out on the action. Tickets go for $30 and come with unlimited cider tastings from vendors like Ace Premium Craft Cider, 2 Towns Ciderhouse and dozens more. There will also be music, lawn games and food from Beau’s Dogs. This event is 21 and up and is hosted at El Chorro Regional Park.

2019 Bushel to Bottle Fall Festival

Jordan, MN | Oct. 26 | 1-5 p.m.

Are you looking for a relaxing day to drink ciders at a beautiful orchard? Bushel to Bottle outside of the Twin Cities in Minnesota could be the perfect afternoon getaway. Take a hayride through the orchard, enjoy complimentary tastings from 20 cideries and soak in the beauty of the Midwest at this nonprofit event put on by the Minnesota Cider Guild. Tickets range from $35-45, and the festival provides free tickets to designated drivers.

Philly Cider Week

Greater Philadelphia Area | Oct. 31 – Nov. 8 | Times vary

Philly Cider Week returns for its second year with nine days of events focused on Pennsylvania-made ciders. This cider event is different than some others because it involves venues around the entire city that range from cider brunch with cider-breakfast fusion, to the educating Cider School, to a cider-fueled Halloween adventure! Times and prices vary, so make sure you check out the website for all event details.

25th Annual Franklin County CiderDays

Franklin County, MA | Nov. 1-3 | Times vary

This Massachusetts festival put on by the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce has been going strong for a quarter of a century. There’s nothing quite like the air on a crisp fall day in New England, and these county-wide cider events are the perfect way to lap up those vibes. Tour the local orchards in Ashfield and New Salem or attend a cidermaking workshop for $80. There’s such to be something for everyone! All events range from $30-80 and are kid-friendly.
