Summer calls for festival season, and if you’re looking for a way to enjoy the sun and some regional craft beverages, a cider festival might be the perfect solution. With the cider industry growing, festival hosts are getting more creative, adding pairings, live music and amazing venues! Here’s some of what August has in store for cider festivals — coast to coast.
Sonoma County Cider Week | August 3-12 | Sonoma County, CA
The first Sonoma County Cider Week is just around the corner. Sonoma County may be famous for its wine country, but this land is rich in fruit, and it was only a matter of time before they started celebrating their success with apples. The week is packed with events, including tastings, new releases, tours and classes! A portion of the event’s proceeds will go towards North Bay Just & Resilient Future Fund. Snohomish Hard Cider Festival | August 12 | Snohomish, WA
Taste the ciders of the Northwest while gazing at Washington’s beautiful cascades at the Thomas Family Farm. Along with tastings and great food, the event will also feature a bottle shop where you can take home some of your favorites. A portion of proceeds from the event will support the Snohomish Kiwanis. Tickets range from $5- $40.
Ciderstock | August 18 | Middlebury, VT
For the past four years cidermakers from Vermont have come together for the biggest cider party of the year. This year’s musical line up includes 311, Moon Taxi, Jukebox the Ghost and Seth Yacovone Band. If the concert, food and cider still isn’t enough fun, you can buy an additional Firkin Frenzy ticket to meet makers, enjoy an exclusive tasting and a walkthrough of the tank farm. Tickets can be bought for $35 in advance and $40 the day of show.
Sausage and CiderFest | August 18 | Covington, WA
Northwest cidermakers, along with cheese and sausage from Neighborlady Cheese and Painted Hills Natural Beef, will come together for this unique event. Live entertainment will be provided by JT Shank and the Florida Keys — so you can relax, eat and drink all afternoon. Proceeds from the event will support the Covington Kiwanis Club. Colorado Cider & Beer Circus | August 25 | Frisco, CO
This event will be held at Copper Mountain Resort, with over 20 cideries and breweries in attendance. Circus entertainment for the whole family, cider and cheese tastings along with pairing instructions and infusers and mixologists adding a bit of magic to your drinks, makes for a truly one-of-a-kind event. Tickets range from $30-$45.
