Come out of hibernation March 19, the day before the spring equinox, and join more than 10 different Northwest cideries in celebrating the start of a new season: the Northwest Cider Association will host the third annual Cider Rite of Spring in Portland, Oregon at the Tiffany Center. There’s no better way to spring forward than being surrounded by good company and good cider.
This year the event will feature cider from the following producers: Carlton Ciderworks, E.Z. Orchards, Finnriver Farm and Cidery, Portland Cider Company, Rogue Cider, Dragon’s Head Cider, Locust Cider, NV Cider, Spire Mountain Ciders and Snowdrift Cider Company. An estimated 25 cider producers are expected to participate.
There are two ways to get tickets for the event. You can either purchase in advance for a fee of $25 here or at the door for $30. By purchasing a ticket to the Cider Rite of Spring you get access to a glass and eight tasting tickets. Food will be available for purchase at the event and a retail store will be set up where you can buy cider from all of the participating producers.
