Vermont Cider Week Returns

by | Jan 19, 2016

Sixteen of Vermont’s hard cider producers will join forces to host the annual Vermont Cider Week. The Green Mountain State will kick off the event on February 26 and it will last until March 6. A slew of different activities will take place throughout the state to celebrate Vermont’s love of apples in their fermented form.

From tastings at Cider Market Co-op to tap-takeovers and the Kingdom Cider and Cheese Festival, Vermont Cider Week offers many ways for guests to interact with cider producers. Opening night at ECHO After Dark will consist of guest speakers from the industry, featured tastings and hors d’oeuvres. Live music will also be provided by Jiggawaltz and Jim Shaw.

Vermont will be celebrating 225 years of statehood this year. In order to celebrate, the Vermont History Museum is working with Vermont Cider Week to throw the most memorable of birthdays. Party games, cider tastings and even a birthday cake are just a few of the things to be found at Vermont’s birthday party on March 4.

History isn’t your thing? Crave something with a little more energy? On March 5, Vermont Cider Week will partner with Wilkins Harley Davidson to host an event at the motorcycle store. All 16 featured cider producers will be there offering tastings of their best ciders.
