One of the newest cider companies to arise in Sonoma County, FoxCraft Hard Cider is a small, locally-owned cidery that specializes in apple cider infusions, finding their niche in the booming cider industry that is just in the state of California itself. Following in the footsteps of others in the area, FoxCraft currently estate-bottles at an orchard and facility in eastern Oregon and uses 100 percent Northwest fruit for its ciders. The young cidery also plans to shop local Sonoma County orchards for potential limited release, small-batch bottlings.
In the recent and prestigious San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, FoxCraft’s Apple Blossom took home the Best of Class title in the fruit cider category, adding to a long list of accolades from local and national competitions for the newb. This semi-dry sparkler takes the fresh-pressed apples and adds back some juice to coax out the ripe, tender apple and pink blossom aromas inherent in the cider. Approachable fruit flavors meet crisp floral tones and toned acid, finishing fresh and cheerful.
