One of three flagships from this new Idaho cidery, Spur pours a hazy gold and throws off spicy and stimulating aromas of fresh ginger and baked apples. As it warms in the glass, a bit of earthy character emerges from the background, too. The taste is slightly sharper than expected with malic acidity and a gingery bite combining to create a real kick of flavor. Crisp and semi-dry as promised on the can, the cider finishes with a spicy linger and a faint echo of sweeter dessert apples. Overall, Highpoint has made a satisfying sipper that’s greater than the sum of its deceptively simple parts.

Ingredients:

🍻 6-Pack Two K Farms Harrison Cider
🤎 3/4 cup Brown Sugar
🧹 3 Cinnamon Sticks
🌳 4 Whole Cloves

Optional: Sprinkle of Nutmeg / Cardamom / All Spice

Directions:

Warm everything together, keeping it covered, and never heating it to more than a low simmer. Letting the cider mull for a few hours will result in a more intense spice flavor and aroma. When ready to serve, garnish with a cinnamon stick.
