The Hard Core Cider Tour 2015 || Los Angeles || November 7
Live music and food trucks accompany this festival of craft cider on the West Coast. Ciders such as See Canyon Hard Cider, Reverend Nat’s, 101 Cider House and more will be participating and pouring some of their finest artisan product at Brookside Park in Pasadena, California. As you sip and enjoy the variety of flavors the festival offers, jumbo lawn games will keep you entertained as you sample. Tickets include one 2-ounce pour from each of the cider sponsors and proceeds go to benefit Enrich LA.
City Fruit 5Th Annual Cider Taste Fundraiser || Seattle || November 12
Seattle’s Pike Place Atrium will be a buzz with chefs and cider as food pairings with the apple beverage will be the focus. Cider producers such as Alpenfire Cider, Dragon’s Head Cider and Grizzly Ciderworks will all be attendees to complement original small plates from acclaimed chefs such as Thierry Rautureau, Ethan Stowell and John Sundstrom. A live auction will also he held as all the proceeds from tickets and the auction will go to benefit the 2016 harvest to keep local fruit to 50 meal plans and food banks across the city.
Cider Week VA || Across Virginia || November 13-22
Brunches, dinners and mobile food, oh my! The week-long event is piled high with cider-inspired dinners and events to honor the sparkly, crisp beverage, and its pairing with food. The Hill and Holler Food Truck Takeover, craft cider dinners and a cider and crepe lunch and brunch at will all be participating in the statewide celebration of cider revival. Of course there will be plenty of cider tastings held at local cideries such as Gadsby’s Tavern and Foggy Ridge Cider, along with a couple Mid-Atlantic Cider Smackdowns for a competitive edge.
Valley Forge Beer & Cider Festival || Oaks, PA || December 5
This one-price tasting event held at the Greater Philly Expo Center hosts more than 75 cideries and breweries offering more than 150 beers and ciders for sampling. Producers from around the nation and world, including local cideries and breweries will be pouring tastes for all to taste the variety of cider offered across the globe. Offered in two sessions, afternoon and evening, each ticket provides a five-ounce glass for the tasting off all the cider and brews of your choice across the venue. The event supports the local committee to Benefit Children at St. Christopher’s Hospital.
