A limited, canned release from Washington, DC, cider (power)house ANXO, Time & Place is a cider very clear on when and where it came from. The cider is a showcase of the first fruit harvested in 2018 from the fourth-generation farmers at Glaize Orchards in Winchester, Virginia. A blend of York, Harrison, Albemarle Pippin, GoldRush and Ashmead’s Kernel apples, Time & Place is fermented slowly by native yeasts in a 275-gallon wooden cask. Earthy and herbal with ripe yellow apples and slight yeast on the nose, tea-like qualities move onto the high-acid palate with tart green apple and mineral. The tangy-sour, off-dry flavors plays nice with the structural tannins for a complex finish.
