Washington Cider Week || September 8-18 || Washington State || Don’t be fooled – this event lasts longer than just a week, thankfully! Over the course of 10 cider-packed days, not only will you receive your fill of cider, but you’ll also be able to take various workshops which will get your foot caught in the door of the cider world. Want to learn about the fermentation process? There’s a seminar for that, plus tastings, tours, tap-takeovers and more throughout the state.
Cider Summit Seattle || September 9-10 || Seattle || The 7th annual cider event returns to Seattle, this time featuring over 150 ciders from regional favorites to internationally acclaimed sippers. If you want to try cider you’ve never seen or even heard of before, be sure to pick up a ticket, a glass and sniff your way to the ciders that appear the best. That was a trick, they’re all the best.
Txotx Fest || September 10 || Durham, NC || Get ready for the first festival of its kind in the Southeast – Txotx Fest is Black Twig Cider House’s first annual cider festival. Cider from Anxo and Wassail, along with food from gourmet restaurants will be served, including a whole deboned, sausage-stuffed local pig. Now that’s a celebration you can’t miss out on.
Virginia Cider Festival || September 19 || Fredericksburg, VA || Join the flock as many make their way to the showcasing of hard cider in the commonwealth. Parking is free and the tickets are cheap, so quickly pick up a ticket and begin cider-tasting to train your palate before the big day. With over 35 ciders in all, there shouldn’t be near a shortage. Don’t forget to remember after tasting all the cider to bring the festival glass home with you.
