Bold Rock releases Honeysuckle Cider, chosen by Bold Rock fans in a social media challenge
NELLYSFORD, VA. – Bold Rock, the #1 regional cider brand1, is excited to launch a new limited release hard cider to celebrate their 13th birthday. The new style is the winner of their February Flavor Challenge in which Bold Rock fans shared ideas for a new flavor to celebrate the brand’s milestone. The team received over 1,000 submissions and two styles, Limoncello and Honeysuckle, were selected for a final online vote in which 1,262 Bold Rockers cast a vote for their favorite. Leah Pagett, the Head Cider Maker, then spent several months developing Honeysuckle, the winning cider, with her team in Nellysford, VA, the home of Bold Rock.
The 4.7% ABV Honeysuckle Cider blends crisp Blue Ridge apples with locally sourced wildflower honey to deliver a semi-sweet cider. Scheduled to be released on June 21 for Bold Rock’s Birthday Bash, it will be available exclusively on draught at Bold Rock’s Virginia and North Carolina taprooms for a limited time only.

It was such joy to read through all the suggestions, some of which, like our current summer seasonal Paradise Orchard, were already in development.
