Next Level Love: 7 Cideries Where You Can Tie the Knot

by | Mar 23, 2022

Finding the perfect venue is one of the first steps to wedding planning. For many couples, it’s all about choosing a place that reflects their personalities or the things they love, from art museums and resorts to stunning outdoor spaces.

If you’re a cider lover, there’s another option. With expansive grounds, beautiful orchards and unique interiors, a number of cideries have opened up their spaces to host on-site weddings. And we’re definitely here for it! Below, find seven cidery wedding venues for the perfect ceremony, not to mention the ideal photo op amongst the apple trees.

Wilson’s Orchard & Farm | Iowa City, Iowa

Wilson’s grows more than 100 types of cider and dessert apples, which are then turned into wild fermented cider. With over 100 acres of land, the farm provides a gorgeous space for a wedding. The outdoor ceremony site is surrounded by old-growth oak trees, and for a beautiful reception there’s a unique barn on the property featuring 14-foot ceilings and reclaimed wood. And of course, you can choose to include Wilson’s cider in your food and beverage package for all of your guests to raise a glass.

Valley View Farm | Haydenville, Mass.

Valley View Farm has a long history, dating back to 1735. There’s 140 acres of land offering a gorgeous, private space to say “I do.” The farm is home to Muse Cider, which crafts artisanal ciders in small batches from the 250-plus fruit trees onsite. Even better? Couples can plan to host their wedding party and stay in lodging on the property in The Farmhouse and The Apple House.

Finnriver Farm & Cidery | Chimacum, Wash.

Want to utilize a 10-acre organic orchard as the backdrop for your ceremony? Finnriver is the ideal fit. This lively, working farm is home to more than 6,000 organic heirloom and traditional cider apple trees. Choose an outdoor ceremony and move inside to the rustic Hay Barn for a reception. Of course, estate-grown cider is available in bottles or on draft to pair with exceptional food.

Castle Hill Cider | Keswick, Va.

They say Virginia is for lovers, and Castle Hill Cider has the perfect space. The Castle Hill orchards are home to 6,500 trees with more than 30 apple varieties. Outdoor ceremony locations include a grove of 200-year-old Linden trees, as well as an orchard backdrop or on the terraced lawn. After sharing your vows, move inside to the modern farmhouse barn with plenty of room to accommodate any guest count.

Bad Seed Cider Co. | Highland, N.Y.

Bad Seed offers the opportunity to be surrounded by apple orchards while saying “I do.” But what makes this venue even better is the chance to host your dinner and reception right inside the cidery. Plan an inspired dinner right next to the brite tanks for a true cider lovers’ experience. Not to mention, you can plan to host an open bar with cider options and local craft beer that your guests will truly love.

Urban Tree Cidery | Atlanta, Ga.

Want a modern option? This may not come with lush orchard backdrops, but the cider-loving vibes are definitely still there. Utilize the cidery’s urban tasting room and cidermaking space for a unique option. It may not be a good fit for a larger wedding, but it’s a great choice for a more intimate party.

Mt. View Orchards | Parkdale, Ore.

While the grounds of this 50-acre apple and pear orchard are stunning, this spot comes with the addition of Mt. Hood hovering in the background, as well. This majestic venue is ideal for an outdoor ceremony and reception with epic ceremony backdrops and the use of a large, rustic pavilion. Don’t forget to incorporate Golden Row Hard Cider made onsite as your featured local beverage.
