Review: Honey Moon Mead & Cider Semi-Sweet CiderHead

by | Aug 28, 2019

According to Honey Moon Mead & Cider, a CiderHead is, simply enough, someone who loves cider. Thus, giving the house cider the same moniker of CiderHeads is perhaps foreshadowing its success. Opening doors in 2005 in Bellingham, Washington, Honey Moon produces both mead and cider. Using only fresh fruit and not adding any sugar, Honeymoon strives to create refreshing, approachable cider for all to have the opportunity to become a CiderHead.

The Semi-Sweet CiderHead packs a tart punch with the first taste. The apple flavor seeps in after for an easy-drinking, off-dry sip. Full-bodied and full of apple fervor, this cider is a session cider at just 4 percent ABV that brings in plenty of acid to balance and leaves the palate relatively dry. Served with an apple pie or a peach cobbler, this drink is perfect for any late night dessert.
