Three childhood friends formed 2 Towns Ciderhouse, but they had just one mission: to bring innovation and experimentation into the cider world, starting with ciders crafted from Northwest apples. This process never involves adding sugar to said ciders, but rather, turning to wild and natural ingredients such as ginger, local honey and marionberries to achieve a flavor profile that their patrons can trust to sip, whether that be from 2 Towns’ Corvallis, Oregon tasting room or from a personal growler, bottle or can to-go.
The Rhubarbarian is one of the wild ones, if that wasn’t already implied by its name—a dry English-style cider made with fresh-pressed Northwest rhubarb. While the root vegetable is often classified as sweet as a result of the desserts it can be found in, its true tangy nature is revealed through this “sour rhubarb hard cider,” which features fruity apple aromas and earthy top notes. The finish is a mix of pure Northwest ingredients and pure innovation.
