Upcoming Events for Cider Season

by | Aug 13, 2019

With all the cider festivals happening in August and September, it’s clear apples are in season. The perfect remedy for anyone still searching for a last minute getaway, the diversity of events is astounding. From a circus in Colorado to a festival celebrating sausage with cider in Washington state, there is a festival for everyone. Finish up your summer at one of these great cider parties.

Sausage and Cider Fest

| August 17, Covington, WA

Celebrating five years of bringing together sausage and cider enthusiasts, the Sausage and Cider Fest is the perfect event for anyone looking to try good food along with drinking cider. With 11 vendors pouring cider, all the proceeds will go to the initiative of the Covington Kiwanis Club. The starting price of tickets is $40 day-of and $35 online. Bring a blanket and chair because live entertainment and music will be happening throughout the day.

Sonoma County Cider Week

| August 17-25, Sonoma County, CA

Push aside the idea that Sonoma County only has wine to its name and brand. Built on a rich history of apples, Sonoma County has many cideries and Sonoma County Cider Week shows off all the amazing work that the cideries do. The second annual cider week brings together 13 producers and ample events for festival-goers to do. Start the week off with the Gravenstein Apple Fair on August 17 and finish the week with an all-day cider tour on the 25th.

Colorado Cider and Beer Circus

| August 24, Denver

Practice your tightrope walking skills before venturing to this festival. A traditional cider festival wrapped inside a circus, held at C Squared Ciders in downtown Denver, experience all the thrills of the circus with jugglers and aerial artists from the Salida Circus at this party. Starting at $40, there will be over 75 craft cider and craft beers at the circus. Child friendly too, bring the whole family to the event to experience all of the thrills.

Washington Cider Week

| September 5-15, Washington State

Celebrate the ninth annual Washington Cider Week by attending one of the 70 events happening around the Evergreen State. Start the week with participating in Locust Cider’s scavenger hunt that will take you across their multiple locations as you look for clues. On Sept. 9, make your own cider at Capitol Cider in Seattle. Other events include cider showcases and cider and cheese tastings. See all the events that are happening on their event page

Cider Summit

| September 6-7, Seattle

The 10 annual Cider Summit is returning to Seattle but at a shiny new location. This year it will be held at Lake Union Park and will feature live music in addition to nearly 200 ciders, cider cocktails and apple spirits. For all the dog lovers, there will be a “dog lounge” where you can bring your dog and enjoy the cider. (Just make sure your dog is on a leash.) Pricing for the event is $45 with cash or $46 with credit. Should you be the designated driver of your group, the tickets are $6.
