The 2018 Hard Cider Run | April 28-June 16 | Throughout the United States
What’s better than a three-mile run to get your blood pumping? A 5K for hard cider. The 2018 Hard Cider Run will be visiting seven cities this spring, where you can run, walk or jog to receive a glass of hard cider, T-shirt and a finisher’s medal. These events are well attended, and some race registrations are already full. Here’s a list of upcoming available runs in your area, including Gettysburg up next and Michigan in May. Central Coast Cider Festival | May 12 | Atascadero, CA
The third annual Central Coast Cider Festival is coming to the Pavilion on the Lake. Guests can taste ciders, chat with the cidermakers themselves and enjoy a traditional English pig roast. Live music will be performed by The Turkey Buzzards. This event is 21+ and it runs from 5-8 p.m. Tickets range in price from $55-$65 and you can purchase them here.
Cider Week GR | May 13-19 | Grand Rapids, MI
Try ciders made locally at Grand Rapids’ Cider Week. There will be events each day leading up to the grand finale, a cider celebration on Gillett Bridge featuring live music and a wide variety of ciders from around the state. Other events throughout the week include a cider trolley tour, a family bocce tournament, cider cocktails at celebrated bars and a Cider & Canvas painting lesson, among others. GLINTCAP 2018 | May 16-19 | Grand Rapids, MI
The Great Lakes International Cider and Perry Competition is returning to Grand Rapids for its 13th year. Best known as GLINTCAP, the commpetition allows newcomers and amateurs to cider production an opportunity to have their handiwork tasted and evaluated, in additional to the continent’s top producers competing in the commercial contest. In 2017 GLINTCAP was the world’s largest cider competition with other 1,000 entries. If you’re interested in having your cider judged, registration closes April 30.
