A fan favorite makes a comeback just in time for festive gatherings
(Albany, N.Y.) – Nine Pin Ciderworks, New York’s first farm cidery, is ringing in the winter season with the return of its Black Cherry Cider, now available in stores and in their Albany Tasting Room. After taking a year off from crafting this seasonal favorite, Nine Pin is thrilled to bring it back for a second run.
Crafted from 100% New York apples grown at Samascott Orchards in Kinderhook and blended with sweet cherries from Bittner-Singer Orchards on Lake Ontario and black currants from Walnut Grove Farm in the Hudson Valley, this year’s release of Black Cherry celebrates the Empire State’s finest fruit. The result is a deep red cider, reminiscent of holly berries, that captures the warmth and color of the season in every pour.
Richly aromatic and elegantly balanced, Black Cherry pairs beautifully with winter classics like roast turkey, glazed ham, and even a slice of pie. For an extra touch of decorative flair, garnish with a cinnamon stick or a slice of orange and raise a glass.
“We first introduced Black Cherry two years ago, and it quickly became a crowd favorite,” said Alejandro del Peral, co-founder and head cidermaker at Nine Pin Ciderworks. “We couldn’t be more excited to bring it back this season. Its deep, festive color and bright fruit flavors make it the perfect companion for gatherings, celebrations, or cozy nights by the fire.”
Black Cherry is available on draught and in 12 oz. cans at Nine Pin’s Tasting Room in Albany, N.Y., with an ABV of 6.9%. It will be distributed to locations throughout New York, New Jersey, and Massachusetts.
Cider enthusiasts can enjoy Nine Pin’s fresh-pressed hard ciders seven days a week in their Tasting Room located in Albany’s increasingly popular Warehouse District, from retailers across New York, Massachusetts, and New Jersey and at bars and restaurants who carry Nine Pin products. Nine Pin’s online stores serve fans throughout New York and across the United States.
