The Fifth Annual Oregon Cider Week returns June 16-26 with a 10-day marathon of cider-centric events. Hosted by the Northwest Cider Association, Oregon Cider Week will celebrate all things apple, featuring tastings, cider dinners, tap takeovers and even a celebration in Japan via the efforts of the Oregon Department of Agriculture.
Highlight gatherings include tastings of Forest Grove’s Bull Run Cider and Troutdale’s Edgefield Cider – McMenamins’ craft cider; delicious and educational events like OMSI After Dark and the History and Science of Cider; and the 6th Annual Cider Summit Portland, returning with over 150 regional and international ciders.
Cider Summit PDX will be held June 17-18 at Portland’s Fields Neighborhood Park. Tickets range from $30-45 depending on how thirsty you are, with options for both general admission and VIP. And because it wouldn’t be a proper cider festival without grub, event sponsors Whole Foods and Bushwhacker Cider as well as local joints Streetcar Bistro and KRAVE Jerkey among others will be serving up snacks and plates to satisfy your cider-induced cravings. Cider Summit PDX benefits the Cascade Blues Association, Northwest Cider Association, DoveLewis Emergency Pet Hospital and the Institute for Myeloma & Bone Cancer Research.
Whether you find yourself a cider newbie or aficionado, Oregon Cider Week will have an event for you and your apple-loving palate. Don’t forget to RSVP to your favorite events to ensure your spot.
