Little Pomona has launched its 6th edition of Disco Nouveau.
Disco Nouveau is Little Pomona’s celebration of harvest, a playful take on the early released
Beaujolais Nouveau wines of France, and a fun way to acknowledge the character of each
summer as it passes.
Made from 100% locally grown Discovery, called Discos by the growers, it is an apple that
mirrors the growing conditions perfectly. Little Pomona co-founder and cidermaker, James
Forbes says, “We love working with Discovery apples. They are brilliant little eaters, bursting
with strawberry and citrus flavours, but it’s the cider they are capable of becoming that we love
the most.”
Multiple venues around the UK poured Disco Nouveau on the launch day (16th February 20206)
either in 750ml bottles, or on draft with 20L KeyKegs, such as the Herefordshire Beer House in
Hereford, Pomona Island in Manchester, the YewTree Inn in Peterstow, Aeble in Anstruther,
London Cider House in London, The Hop Inn in Hornchurch, and many more.
When asked about this year’s Disco, Martin Johnson, Manager of the award winning
Herefordshire pub, the Yew Tree in Peterstow, says, “Disco Nouveau is an exceptional cider
year after year that has the ability to both satisfy accomplished cider drinkers and welcome and
entice new drinkers. It’s a way to celebrate the harvest, to get excited about the years of 2025
releases to come, and it is utterly delicious”
