From a homebrew competition in Reno, Nevada, to the commercial stage, Fran Toves took her medalling cider recipe back home to Auburn, California, to launch Common Cider Co. in 2014. Since then, Toves and team have been fermenting fresh-pressed, local apples with saison yeast and blending with robust and colorful flavors, like this Lemon Saison. Overt aromas of citrus spill out of the glass, tangy and tart to contrast the juicy red apple tones. The yeast lends its bread-like notes and texture to the creamy palate, finishing round yet clean and bright.
