This summer has been chalk-full of events celebrating cider all across the country, and as we move into the fall season, these events will become less common in occurrence. This is not a bad thing—in fact, it simply means that when they do occur, they will be providing a much-needed break from the doom and gloom that fall seems to usher in. Here are some of the events that you can circle on your schedule and begin counting down the days until you reach that wonderful cider reward.

Cider Week BC || October 17-25
Like many of the cider week celebrations around the continent, British Columbia’s inaugural cider week will have various locations around the province showing off the best cider they can. The week will kick off with an opening festival that will have cideries from BC, Washington and Oregon offering up their beverage. BC has enjoyed the cider boom along with the rest of the Northwest and has produced some of the top ciders in the area. This week is sure to highlight not only Canada, but also all of the Pacific Northwest’s accomplishments.

3rd Annual CiderFest NC || November 7
North Carolina will see the return of the CiderFest this November that will feature more than 21 cidermakers from around the region. Additionally, out-of-state cidermakers will share their drinks, meadmakers will educate about the growing mead industry, local food will be enjoyed and live music will be played. Guests will be able to try a diverse selection of ciders and will also be able to learn how to make cider themselves at home. Tickets are on sale now.

Cider Week NYC || November 6-15
What better city is there to celebrate cider than the big apple itself? The week-long highlight of cider specialists will bring the alcoholic apple-product into the limelight for all to enjoy. New York City is the fourth largest market for cider consumers and through this celebration, there is a way for all to congregate. A number of local bars and tasting rooms will have special cider-oriented menus as part of the conglomerated party, with promises of cider-centric tastings, dinners, classes and more taking place.

21st Annual Franklin County CiderDays || November 7-8
The first full weekend of November brings about the 21st year of Massachusetts‘ Franklin County CiderDays, one of the coutnry’s largest single-region cider events. The community celebration of all things apple includes tours, cidermaking and tastings, workshops and much more in orchards and venues throughout the county from. Learn about and witness New England’s rich cider past, present and future and don’t miss the CiderDays Locavore Harvest Supper, a  locally-sourced savory fall feast catered by Wheelhouse features cider and apple varieties prominently.
