On September 13, Killington, Vermont will join the lineup of New England-area cider celebrations with a daylong inaugural blowout. The Vermont Cider Festival will kick off this year’s harvest season with a spread of handcrafted hard ciders, local artisan cheeses and Vermont apple slices – sure to keep grazers satisfied.

National VIPs from Angry Orchard, Stella Artois and Redd’s Apple Ale will offer tastings alongside homegrown favorites including Eden Ice Cider Company, Citizen Cider and plenty more cider makers. The event will primarily showcase ciders crafted in and around New England – the perfect opportunity to enjoy bounties from regional orchards among the turning leaves.

In addition to hard cider, fest-goers can taste through a variety of non-alcoholic ciders, meads and ice wines. For those looking to celebrate a day early, a five-course chef made cider dinner will unite Vermont meats, greens and cheeses with local bottles.

As the air turns crisp this autumn, East Coasters can celebrate with a crisp hard cider in hand.
