Cocktail Recipe: Cider Coast Daiquiri

A core cider now readily available in cans, the Brut from Virtue Cider is an extremely versatile sip to snazz up a drab fall cocktail. A blend of hand-pressed heirloom apples are aged in French oak barrels for the Brut, all of which are on full display in the finished cider. Fresh apple aromas, a kiss of vanilla and bourbon and fall leaves, the sip celebrating “cider season” — aka fall — is crisp, tart and the perfect partner for a simple, old-school daiquiri for autumn.

A classic daiquiri is based on just three components: rum, citrus and sugar. If you’re itching for more sour or sweet, play with the lime and sugar until the drink is where you want it.

Cider Coast Daiquiri

Makes 1 cocktail

½  ounce lime juice

½  teaspoon superfine sugar

2 ounces white rum

1 ounce Virtue Cider Michigan Brut

Pour the lime juice into a cocktail shaker then stir in the sugar and add the rum. Add ice and shake well, then strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
