From the heart of BC wine country, Tree Brewing Co. enters its 21st year of production in 2017, making a wide variety of beers — like the Kim-Ach-Touch ale named for the First Nations term for “brown bear” to a grapefruit radler and an easy-drinking helles lager — poured and paired with pub grub at its taproom, The Beer Institute, in Kelowna.
Embracing the fruit-bearing trees of the Okanagan Valley, the Dukes Cider Dry Apple is made from 100 percent Kelowna apples, pushing out a medley of apple aromas, from applesauce to apple blossom and a brisk lick of honey. Those same apples are ripe and juicy on the palate, finishing with a crisp, off-dry and sessionable nod to its brewing side.
