Mark your calendars — apple blossoms have sprung, time to chock up your schedule with cider events.

Hopped Cider Festival | Portland, Oregon | April 8 | $25
This celebration in the union of hops and apples returns for its fourth year to the Rose City. More than 36 hopped ciders will be poured at Reverend Nat’s Hard Cider taproom, including 12 different hopped ciders from the host cidery. As an added bonus, when the clock strikes, attendees will receive a free pour of cider on the hour, every hour.

Cider Week Grand Rapids | Grand Rapids, Michigan | April 16-22 | Prices vary
With one of the cider world’s biggest events being the Great Lakes Cider and Perry Competition in Grand Rapids, there seemed like no better time to have a week dedicated to cider than this one in April. Showing off what Michigan cider is all about, all-cider events will take place throughout the week, including educational workshops, trainings and many a’cider tasting.

Pour The Core | Boston | April 29 | $45
Celebrate what cider means on the East Coast, the home of the American Revolution, at Pour the Core in Boston. The third annual event will bring cider drinkers in from near and far for two separate tasting sessions featuring locally produced ciders and international ciders from Spain, England and other countries. The sell-out event also helps to raise funds for The Barton Center for Diabetes Education.

Virginia Hopped Cider Festival | Richmond, Virginia | April, 29 | Admission is free, drink tickets start at $5
Virginia has a long history of cider and when Blue Bee Cider introduced the first hopped cider to the state, there was a reason to celebrate. Now, having many cideries in Virginia that are jumping on the hopped cider bandwagon, there is all the more reason to try out what hops are bringing to the cider scene in this festival that celebrates unique ciders and hop-focused foods.

B.C. Cider Week | Throughout British Columbia | April 28-May 7 | Prices vary
With their cider scene being bigger than ever before, now is the perfect time so sip on some B.C.-made cider by starting off spring right and getting in the mood for ciders favorite season, summer. With more than a whole week to celebrate the apple, there are events for all cider knowledge levels including cider pairing meals, tastings, the Okanagan Craft Cider Festival featuring more than a dozen local producers and more thorughout the 10-day festival.
