Originally a fruit house established in 1918, Uncle John’s Hard Cider has been working for years to provide fresh fruit – peaches, cherries, strawberries and of course apples, among others – to the community of St. Johns, Michigan. In 2003, cider maker Mike Beck converted the barn into a cidery, and the fruit took on a twist via fermentation; an assortment of cans, draft ciders and premium ciders were born.
Uncle John’s Baldwin is a semi-dry, sparkling sipper boasting a gold medal and it’s clear why. The refreshing bite of pure Baldwin apples meshes with the likes of warm apple cobbler for a satisfying finish at 6.8 percent ABV. This one will be a pantry must-have during summer months, warming the soul long into colder days.
