Three wineries, a microbrewery, a café and a cidery all reside within the rural business park that is Three Brothers Wineries and Estates in Geneva, New York. The latest addition for the Finger Lakes producer is Red Apple Bombshell Hard Cider, currently producing a small selection of ciders, like the Cane Mutiny. Here, New York apples are pressed and fermented with blackberry and raspberry juices — with some molasses added — then aged in oak, resulting in a juicy and semisweet sip sitting at 7.5% ABV. Cherry red in color, the nose is broad with molasses, maple, oak spice and raspberry. The apple comes through on the palate with green apple Jolly Rancher vibes and juicy red berries, tingling acid and full fruit in the semisweet finish.
