The Official Cider of the 2021 Skagit Tulip Festival
Mount Vernon— 3/22/2021 — Ragged and Right Cider is pleased to announce the upcoming availability of Tulip Fest Cider, along with other ciders from Ragged and Right, a new seasonal limited release to coincide with the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival April 2021 and features a graphic based on the winning poster art of Jennifer McGill.
“The Tulip Festival Cider was an especially fun cider to make as it gave me a chance to work with blackberry honey, which has a very unique flavor. It adds both depth and character to the cider, with just the right flavors to remind us of springtime in the Valley,” said Jacob Mitchell, Head Cidermaker at Ragged and Right Cider.
About the Cider
Tulip Fest Cider starts with a base of Pinata apples from Cedardale Orchards in Mount Vernon and Honey from Valley Buzz, then blended with strawberry puree for a cider that is tart and slightly sweet (like the first berries of late spring). The cider pours a beautiful rosy blush and joins Ragged and Right’s lineup of fully flavored, fruit infused ciders, such as Full Flat Peach and Blackberry Tango. Ragged and Right is the sister cidery of Farmstrong Brewing in Mount Vernon and is a proud Veteran Owned business. Ragged and Right Cider/ Farmstrong Brewing is committed to using Skagit Valley ingredients as much as possible.

Tulip Fest Cider, along with other ciders from Ragged and Right will be available in the taproom at Ragged and Right Cider starting 3/19 as single bottles, limited draft. Starting in April Tulip Fest Cider will be on tap and in bottle at various locations around the region. Ragged and Right has also created a special, collectable commemorative glass featuring the same farm truck as the bottle label.
