Expanding Statewide Discovery and Engagement with NY Cider

(New York, NY – April 28, 2026) Cider Week New York returns this year from Saturday, May 2 through Sunday, May 10. This year’s statewide hard cider festival will celebrate the launch of the first-ever NY Cider Passport, a new interactive experience designed to connect consumers and industry to the full breadth of NY Cider’s landscape.

Available through the NY Cider Trail app, the NY Cider Passport transforms how people explore the landscape of NY Cider. The app also serves as the home for the full Cider Week New York calendar of events, making it the central destination for planning and participation. Participants can visit cideries, restaurants, bars, and bottle shops featuring NY Cider, check in at these locations, unlock digital badges, experience discounts and perks throughout the year, and track their journey across regions. The program creates a direct connection between discovery, travel, and support for local producers and businesses.

“The NY Cider Passport is an invitation to join and experience the full depth of the NY Cider community,” said Scott Ramsey, Executive Director of the New York Cider Association. “It brings people closer to the makers, the orchards, and the communities behind every glass, while creating a simple, fun, and engaging way to explore and support the entire NY Cider ecosystem.”

The NY Cider Passport offers dynamic, interactive statewide experiences via the NY Cider Trail app:
• Digital badges earned through visits and milestones
• In-depth cidery connections and regional profiles
• Member perks and discounts at participating cideries and NY Cider events
• Expanded discovery at restaurants, bars, and bottle shops
• Ongoing additions of locations and experiences throughout the year

Launching during Cider Week New York, the NY Cider Passport offers cider enthusiasts a year-round exploration experience through a $50 annual membership, with a special discounted rate of $40 during Cider Week, driving ongoing engagement with NY Cider across the state. Ready to join and explore? Download the NY Cider Trail app to join the NY Cider Passport community.
