Warming Up with June Cider Events

by | May 1, 2017

Festival season is set to begin; we know you’re more than ready. It’s time to shake off the spring and gather all seasoned and novice cider drinkers alike under the sun. Let us act as your guide. From Pennsylvania to PDX, here are some cider festivals popping up on our North American maps.

CiderWeek Hudson Valley | June 9-18 | Prices vary
CiderWeek pays homage to the vibrant Hudson Valley cider industry and its orchards for an entire week. Because one day is never enough time to enjoy the hundreds of selections New York has to offer. Though we’re on our toes for the official announcements of all the Ciderweek happenings; anticipate dinners, tastings, seminars and more.

MN Craft Cider Festival | June 10 | $30
Minnesota’s finest will be gathering in St. Paul to celebrate cider, one sip at a time. The MN Craft Cider festival will not only feature Minnesotan cider, but other participating cideries from around the world are welcomed to bring their own libations. Pair with some “farm-direct” food courtesy of Red River Kitchen.

Pour the Core: Brooklyn | June 10 | $45-65
Pour the Core: Brooklyn is just one in a lineup of “Pour the Core” events, with other stops including Boston, Philadelphia and Long Island. It’s in northern Brooklyn’s charming Greenpoint neighborhood where guests can whet their whistles on local and internationally produced ciders. Act fast; this event is expected to sell out quick.

Oregon Cider Week | June 15-25 | Prices vary
Participate in Oregon’s large selection of cider events over an 11-day period — including the Cider Summit PDX, Portland’s own tribute to cider that includes food, music and over 150 ciders to choose from. With cidery tours, tap takeovers and science talks, this sixth annual cider week will have activities for all beginning and advanced cider drinkers alike.

PA Cider Fest | June 24 | $25-30
Sip the best of Pennsylvania cider at the second-annual PA Cider Fest. The festivities transpire at the idyllic Hauser Estate — home to Jack’s Hard Cider — where guests can enjoy live music and savory bites from local food trucks on the picturesque property. The whole celebration kicks off with a “Meet-The-Cider-Makers” dinner on the 23rd — attendees can eat and drink with the creators themselves.
