Rocky Mountain Cider in Colorado

by | May 15, 2017

The one-week countdown to Cider Week Colorado has commenced. This ode to cider will feature tap takeovers, tastings and events from Rocky Mountain cidermakers leading up to the second annual Pressed Conference. With cider’s biggest season approaching, these festivities are a chance for guests to check out what they’ll be sipping this summer.

The Rocky Mountain Cider Association brings together the regions top cidermakers for enthusiasts and cider lovers alike to celebrate local craft cider. Kick off the week at St. Vrain Cidery and get your taste buds flowing with the 20-plus ciders on draft before getting a taste of some CO history. Denver’s Historians Ale House will be featuring six ciders from the Rockies, with the cidermakers on-hand to answer all cider questions, historical and modern.

Colorado’s growing craft cider scene will be on full display throughout the week, giving enthusiasts the chance to get an insider’s perspective on the cidermaking process and to meet the makers. Friday’s Cider Tap Takeover will feature a number of diverse sippers accompanied by the producers to educate drinkers about what they’re sipping.

Cap off the week at the second annual Pressed Conference. Known as Colorado’s premier cider festival, the Pressed Conference will be hosting dozens of cideries from across the mountain range, inviting guests to experience the cider culture of the Centennial State at the Masonic Event Center in Denver.

The Pressed Conference will highlight the region’s crisp cider from cideries like Colorado Cider Co., Stem Ciders and C Squared Ciders that pair well with the live music and lawn games. It will be a conference you actually want to go to and the perfect induction to summer.
