For fans of all things apple, CiderDays is the place to be this November. Or rather, the places to be. The event, held in Franklin County, Massachusetts, is certainly a “can’t-miss” opportunity for cider lovers. With the multiple events spanning two days— November 7 and 8—there’s a good chance you won’t miss the apple-infused fun.
“As the longest running hard cider festival in the country, we have been dedicated from the very beginning to reviving interest in this historic beverage, supporting orchardists and cidermakers in their craft, and bringing people together to learn about and enjoy this fruit and tradition,” Lisa Davol says, marketing & membership manager for main sponsor Franklin County Chamber of Commerce.
Bringing people together is indeed what CiderDays does best. Attendees can choose from an array of events at 19 different venues around the county, featuring tastings, suppers, workshops, cooking demos, and even a cider and cheese pairing, each of which is sure to be a learning—and filling—experience.
Driving community as one of the most important parts of the weekend, many of the events are free, ultimately supporting local cideries and businesses that all bring something special to the event. Davol says the other essential element is the cider-centered education that has permeated the county as a result. “We are pleased to have played a key role in this renewed interest in cider that has taken hold across the country,” Davol says.
As a sponsor ourselves (with magazines on-site!), we encourage you to also play a key role in the success of cider. Tickets almost always sell out, so be sure to hop on the apple train (or maybe a real train if you find yourself that dedicated) and get tickets now to your favorite events. It’s safe to say by the end of the weekend, you’ll be in a cider “daze.”
